Two catalogues,
two grading systems.
A cosmetic grade tells you nothing useful about a microcontroller, and a lot code tells you nothing about a scratched screen. So we run separate standards: one for used consumer devices, one for components and hardware. Both are published here in full.
Cosmetic and functional grades
Applied to phones, tablets, wearables, laptops and other used consumer electronics. Every unit is function-tested before grading. A device only carries a grade if it passes functional testing — cosmetic condition then determines which grade.
Grade A+ / Like New
Indistinguishable from new.
No visible marks under close inspection. Battery health 90% or above. Fully functional, no repair history. Supplied in generic packaging with a new cable unless stated otherwise.
Grade A / Excellent
Minimal signs of use.
Micro-scratches visible only at an angle under direct light. Screen flawless. Battery health 85% or above. All functions tested and passed.
Grade B / Good
Light visible wear.
Light scratches on housing and possible faint screen marks not visible when powered on. No dents or cracks. Battery health 80% or above. Fully functional.
Grade C / Fair
Clear cosmetic wear, fully working.
Obvious scratches, scuffing or minor dents. Screen may show visible marks when powered on. No cracks. Battery health 80% or above. All functions tested and working.
Grade D / Working Cosmetic Damage
Heavy wear or cracked glass, functional.
Significant cosmetic damage which may include cracked glass or a damaged frame. Device powers on and all core functions pass testing. Sold for repair, parts recovery or budget channels.
New / Factory Sealed
Untouched retail stock.
Original manufacturer packaging, seal intact, full manufacturer warranty where applicable. Never activated.
Sourcing and condition tiers
Applied to semiconductors, memory, networking, boards and datacentre hardware. For these lines what matters is provenance and traceability rather than cosmetics — where the part came from, and what documentation follows it.
Factory Sealed
Unopened manufacturer packaging.
Original reels, trays or tubes with intact manufacturer seals and full lot/date code traceability.
Authorised Distribution
Traceable to the manufacturer.
Sourced directly from the manufacturer or a franchised distributor. Complete supply-chain documentation and certificate of conformity supplied with every order.
OEM Surplus / Excess
Unused excess production stock.
Unused inventory released by OEMs and contract manufacturers. Packaging may be repackaged or partially opened. Lot codes provided; incoming inspection performed on every batch.
Tested Pulls / Recovered
Recovered and individually tested.
Harvested from decommissioned equipment, cleaned, and electrically tested against manufacturer specification. Test report available on request. Not supplied for safety-critical applications.
Refurbished Enterprise
Professionally restored hardware.
Wiped to NIST 800-88 standard, firmware updated to the latest stable release, burn-in tested and supplied with a 12-month ECO warranty.
How stock gets graded
The same four stages run on every batch that passes through our Rīga facility.
Intake & count
Batches are counted against the supplier manifest and quarantined. Discrepancies are resolved with the supplier before anything enters saleable stock.
Functional testing
Devices run an automated diagnostic suite. Components are sampled or fully tested depending on tier, with electrical verification against manufacturer specification.
Data erasure
Every storage-bearing device is wiped to NIST 800-88 standard and a certificate is generated. Activation locks are verified as clear.

The detail buyers ask about
Yes. Larger orders are commonly built to a defined mix — for example 40% Grade A, 60% Grade B. The agreed mix is written into the quote and verified in the inspection report before dispatch.
Yes, and the minimum is stated per grade: 90% or above for A+, 85% for A, 80% for B, C and D. Measured battery health for each unit appears in the diagnostic export supplied with your batch.
All graded devices are network unlocked unless a listing explicitly says otherwise, and are checked against activation-lock and blacklist databases. Anything failing those checks is rejected at intake.
Generic protective packaging with a new charging cable unless the listing states original retail packaging. Factory sealed lines ship in unopened manufacturer packaging.
Tested pulls ship with an electrical test report as standard. For authorised and factory sealed stock we supply lot and date codes plus a certificate of conformity where the manufacturer issues one.
Raise it within the inspection window in our return policy with photographs and the batch report reference. If units are misgraded we replace, credit or refund them. Our grading is only worth something if we stand behind it.
